Concept: Module Effort & Impact Matrix

Note

Prioritizing ERP Module Migration by Business Value and Implementation Effort.

Purpose:
The Module Effort & Impact Matrix helps identify which ERP modules or processes should be migrated first, modernized later, or left as-is. It’s a prioritization tool to balance business value (impact) and implementation effort (complexity/time) — ensuring migration starts where it drives the most visible benefit.

Dimension 1: Business Value / Impact (Y-Axis)
Measures how much a module contributes to business performance, customer experience, or strategic differentiation.
Rate each module from 1 (low) to 5 (high).

Levels:
1 – Minimal Impact: Rarely used or low contribution to revenue or efficiency.
2 – Supportive: Useful but non-core to business outcomes.
3 – Operationally Important: Essential for day-to-day work, but replaceable.
4 – High Value: Directly influences customer satisfaction, revenue, or key KPIs.
5 – Critical / Strategic: Core to differentiation or financial success.
