Concept: Module Strategy Fit Matrix

Note

Assessing ERP Modules by Operational Complexity & Differentiation Logic.

Purpose:
The Module Strategy Fit Matrix helps evaluate which ERP modules (e.g. Sales, Inventory, Service, Accounting, CRM) should be kept, modernized, or reimagined — depending on how your business operates and where it creates value. It’s a practical tool to align IT migration plans with real business strategy.

Dimension 1: Operational Complexity (Y-Axis)
Describes how broad and integrated your business operations are. Use this scale to rate each module from 1 (low) to 5 (high).

Levels:
1 – Simple Dealer: Single brand, few processes, limited integrations.
2 – Growing Dealer: Adds service or accessories, some reporting complexity.
3 – Multi-Brand Dealer: Multiple suppliers, diverse product lines.
4 – Importer/Distributor: Handles purchasing, stock, finance, logistics.
5 – Integrated Network: Fully connected ecosystem, external partners, real-time data.
